Who let the 500mm catadioptric lens out?

Another walk by water and an opportunity to stalk Harry. This time with a thirty year old Tamron 500mm f8 SP macro catadioptric lens attached to the Fujifilm X-T1 via its Adaptall Nikon mount then the Fotodiox Nikon-Fuji Lens Mount Adapter. Not ideal. I’ve just received the Fotodiox adaptall to Fuji adapter and so shall try that as soon as possible. This is an uncropped, full frame example of what the approximately 750mm equivalent telephoto power could achieve though.

The bokeh couldn’t shout Mirror lens any louder I suspect. For numbers nuts they are: An ISO of 5000 and a shutter speed of 1/2000 second. A monopod helped stability, handy whilst focusing. A fair bit of post processing was needed to offset the cat’s tendency for low contrast.
