I rarely remember my dreams. This morning I did, vaguely. It seemed to include a luxury apartment, Stephen Mangan, a piano and a Mauser C96 pistol. Perhaps Covid-19 lock down is getting to me…
Somehow it inspired the following idea. A set of four forty minute radio/podcast plays written in the styles of the following:
- Noel Coward
- Shelagh Delany
- Sarah Kane
- Joe Orton
The premise each time:
A producer and her technician visit the home of a now reclusive, once famous pianist to prepare him and his grand piano for a live broadcast in the spirit of C19 era entertainment.
I would be eternally grateful for some lovely dramatists to pick this up and run with it, else I fear my dream will become a recurrent nightmare.
